While playing an IPL auction game with friends—where each team receives a fixed purse budget to bid for players and assemble their squads—the biggest bottleneck wasn’t the auction itself; it was pen, paper, and manual budget calculations!
Spending more time recalculating purses than enjoying the game sparked an idea:
“Why not build an app for this?”
Using Google Antigravity, prompt engineering, and vibe coding, the game rules were defined and built into a real-time IPL auction companion app in Flutter within just 2–3 hours.
Now, the TV handles the auction broadcast, mobile devices handle purse calculations and squad limits, and everyone focuses on what matters most: bidding, strategizing, and celebrating!
