Event Summary#
The Tamil Nadu Java User Group (TNJUG) Madurai Chapter Launch was a full-day technical community meetup bringing together developers, students, engineers, and technology enthusiasts from Madurai and surrounding areas. The event focused on Java, JVM performance, memory management, AI agents, hands-on learning, and community networking.
Hosted at Dot Com Infoway, Madurai in collaboration with TNIA, the meetup served as a platform for deep technical exploration and marked the official launch of the TNJUG Madurai Chapter — establishing a local hub for continuous knowledge sharing, peer mentorship, and developer community building.

The day featured insightful technical sessions and hands-on learning led by industry experts:
- Vaibhav Choudhary
- Pawan Chawdhary
- Abdul Salam Mohamed Kani
The speakers shared their deep expertise covering JVM performance tuning, memory debugging using tools like JMC and JFR, shared libraries and native method stacks, and building modern AI agent architectures.

Attendees actively participated in practical exercises, asked thought-provoking questions, and connected with fellow engineers throughout the day, creating an energetic and collaborative community environment.

My Contribution / Learnings#
As an organiser of the event and part of the TNJUG community, I was involved in taking the Madurai Chapter from an idea to its first successful meetup.

- Chapter Initiation: Helped conceptualise and establish the TNJUG Madurai Chapter, laying the foundation for an active developer community in southern Tamil Nadu.
- Event Planning & Coordination: Planned and coordinated the overall event structure, including speaker lineups, venue logistics, agenda scheduling, hands-on session setups, and attendee engagement.
- Speaker Coordination: Coordinated with Vaibhav Choudhary, Pawan Chawdhary, and Abdul Salam Mohamed Kani to bring diverse expertise across JVM performance, memory debugging, and AI engineering.
- Partnership & Sponsorship Coordination: Partnered with Dot Com Infoway for venue hosting and hospitality, and collaborated with Rapl for food sponsorship.
- Community Building: Engaged with developers, students, and engineers across Madurai to cultivate an open, supportive culture centered around continuous technical learning and collaboration.
- Volunteer Coordination & On-Ground Execution: Worked closely with TNJUG co-organisers and student volunteers to manage logistics, stage handling, and session pacing for a seamless full-day experience.
