The Concurrency & AI Day meetup brought together developers and tech enthusiasts who were eager to explore two rapidly evolving areas of modern software engineering—Java concurrency and AI-driven application development. The event created an engaging environment where participants could learn from expert-led sessions, exchange knowledge, and dive into both foundational concepts and cutting-edge advancements. With sessions ranging from Java’s concurrency evolution to practical applications of Spring AI, the meetup fostered meaningful conversations that helped developers deepen their technical understanding and broaden their perspectives. As both an organizer and a speaker, I played a dual role in shaping the success of this event. I delivered a dedicated session on “Java Threads to Virtual Threads: The Java Concurrency Journey,” where I walked participants through the evolution of concurrency models, practical challenges in thread management, and the future impact of Project Loom and virtual threads on scalable application design. Beyond the talk, I worked extensively on planning, coordinating with speakers, structuring the event agenda, and ensuring a smooth experience for all attendees.
