Event Summary#
The Bangalore Java User Group meetup hosted by DevOn Software on June 27, 2026, was a highly engaging and successful event that brought together Java enthusiasts, architects, community leaders, and passionate developers from across the ecosystem. Hosted with wonderful hospitality and support from DevOn Software, the meetup provided a vibrant platform for deep technical discussions, networking, and collaborative learning.

It was inspiring to see the energy and enthusiasm of the Java community in Bangalore. Attendees actively participated in discussions, shared their experiences with microservices architectures, and brainstormed ways to integrate modern AI patterns.
My Contribution / Learnings#
I had the opportunity to present a talk titled “Beyond LLMs: The Evolution from Microservices to Agentic Systems”, discussing how software architecture is evolving in the age of AI. During the session, I shared insights on how the industry spent years breaking monoliths into microservices, and how we are now teaching AI agents to collaborate with those services. I emphasized that the future is about AI and Software Engineering working together, rather than competing.

To help attendees try out the concepts, I shared a demo along with its source code and guide, encouraging collaborative learning to make this architectural concept stronger. It was inspiring to connect with the community, answer questions, and participate in these forward-looking discussions.

The Java community continues to prove that great technology is built through collaboration, learning, and knowledge sharing. A huge thank you to everyone who attended, contributed, and made the meetup memorable. I’m looking forward to the next Bangalore JUG gathering!
