The Java AI Day – March Edition 2026, organized by the Tamil Nadu Java User Group, was a vibrant community-driven event that brought together developers, students, and technology enthusiasts to explore the evolving intersection of Java and Artificial Intelligence.

The event featured insightful sessions from industry experts including Samir Kamerkar, Gireesh Punathil, Dinesh Kumar Ilangovan, Muthukumaran Navaneethakrishnan, and Shaama M.

Expert Sessions

The sessions covered a wide spectrum of topics β€” beginning with discussions on Open Source ecosystems and gradually progressing into modern AI capabilities within the Java ecosystem, including emerging technologies like Spring AI. This progression allowed participants to understand both the foundational principles and advanced applications of AI within enterprise Java development.

One of the most memorable aspects of the event was the high level of audience engagement. Developers actively participated in discussions, asked thoughtful questions, and interacted with speakers throughout the sessions. The Q&A segments turned into meaningful conversations, making the event more than just a series of talks β€” it became a collaborative learning experience.

Support from EPAM Systems played an important role in enabling the event and encouraging the growth of the developer community.

Community Support

Overall, the event reinforced an important message: strong technology communities can grow anywhere when passionate developers come together to learn and share knowledge. The event also highlighted the growing strength of the Coimbatore developer ecosystem.
