Event Summary#
The “Build with AI: Java-Powered Day” workshop at the Infosys Electronic City campus in Bangalore brought together Java developers, AI practitioners, and community members for a deep dive into the evolving intersection of Java and Artificial Intelligence. Organized collaboratively by the Bangalore Java User Group, Infosys teams, and Google for Developers, the event delivered a power-packed lineup of sessions ranging from AI-assisted coding to embedding LLMs into enterprise-grade applications. Speakers such as Gaurav Gupta, Venkatesh G, Udayani V, Murali Pachigolla, Megha Agarwal, and Bhavesh Wadhwani presented hands-on demonstrations, real-world use cases, and forward-thinking insights into tools like NetBeans AI features, GitHub Copilot, Spring AI, Vertex AI, and LangChain4j. The workshop was a vibrant showcase of how AI is rapidly shaping developer workflows and redefining modern Java architectures. Participants left with a renewed understanding of scalable AI systems, enhanced development practices, and the endless possibilities that arise when AI becomes a collaborator in software engineering.

My Contribution#

As a co-organizer of this event, I played an active role in shaping the workshop’s vision, coordinating with speakers, and facilitating smooth collaboration between the Bangalore JUG, Infosys teams, and Google for Developers. I contributed to event planning, speaker alignment, agenda structuring, and ensuring that technical sessions were cohesive and high-impact. On the ground, I helped manage event logistics, participant engagement, and supported interactive discussions to create a meaningful learning experience for attendees. Beyond coordination, I engaged deeply with the technical content—exploring Spring AI integrations, Vertex AI deployments, and LangChain4j workflows—so these insights can be further shared with the wider Java community through upcoming meetups and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Organizing this workshop strengthened my commitment to building platforms where developers can explore AI-driven innovation and empowered me to continue shaping impactful community events that advance the Java ecosystem.
