The alumni guest lecture at Sri Eshwar College of Engineering brought together enthusiastic students from the Computer and Communication Engineering department for an engaging session on Java in Mobile App Development. The event highlighted the foundational role Java continues to play in modern Android development, bridging core programming concepts with real-world mobile engineering practices. Students participated actively, asking insightful questions and exploring how Java-based architectures translate into scalable, user-centric applications. Supported by the institution’s management and faculty, the session fostered an inspiring learning atmosphere—strengthening the connection between academia and industry while motivating students to pursue deeper expertise in mobile technologies.

As an alumnus returning to my college, I had the privilege of delivering a session that blended industry experience with practical learning. I walked students through the fundamentals of Java in mobile app development, shared professional insights from real-world Android engineering, and helped them understand how strong JVM foundations accelerate growth in the mobile ecosystem. I encouraged students to explore structured development workflows, adopt best practices, and stay curious as they begin their tech journeys. Throughout the session, I engaged with their questions, clarified concepts, and guided them on how to approach mobile development with clarity and confidence. Being invited back to contribute to my alma mater was both meaningful and motivating—reinforcing my commitment to giving back, mentoring young engineers, and continuing to support academic–industry collaboration.
